Alamar is Hosting Three City of Avondale Events on Saturday – April 29th, May 6th, & May 13th

Enjoy all that Alamar and the City of Avondale have to offer while attending Avondale Fiesta, Family Fishing Derby, and Poppin’ in the Park at Alamar Park. These community events are family and dog friendly and free to attend!

First is Avondale Fiesta, a Cinco de Mayo-inspired street festival on Saturday, April 29th, from 6pm to 10pm. The event features authentic Mexican cuisine, music, dancing, and entertainment. There will be onsite exhibitors including the Alamar Community Life team which will host an interactive photo booth for residents that will be located at ramada seven. Next, Alamar presents the Avondale Family Fishing Derby on Saturday, May 6th from 8am to 11am. The community is invited to bring their fishing equipment to compete in several competitions including biggest fish, smallest fish, heaviest fish, most fish and more. Attendees over the age of 14 must obtain a fishing license in order to fish. There will be a raffle every hour and prizes will be given out. Thanks to the City of Goodyear Parks & Recreation and Avondale Parks & Recreations there will be an Adaptive Fishing Derby available. Finally, grab a bag of popcorn for Poppin’ in the Park movie series coming to Alamar Park on Saturday, May 13th from 7pm to 10pm.  The community is invited to bring folding chairs or blankets to watch the animated film Turning Red, which will begin a dusk. Guests are also invited to enjoy food trucks, family-friendly activities, and family trivia for a chance to win prizes.

The community is also invited to tour Alamar’s beautiful model homes and new homes for sale, including the newest neighborhoods located directly across from Alamar Park. Alamar builders include Shea, Capital West Homes, Brightland Homes, David Weekley Homes, Taylor Morrison, and D.R. Horton, along with the newest builders Brookfield Residential, William Ryan Homes, Woodside, and Lennar.  Homes at Alamar currently start in the high $300s. Alamar Park is located at 4155 South El Mirage Road in Avondale. We hope to see you there!
