The Great Outdoors at Your Fingertips
With miles of nature trails and acres of parks, Alamar’s green living awaits.
A community is more than a collection of houses: It’s a place of rich connections and spirited engagement, where creativity and diversity welcome everyone to come together. And at Alamar, you’ll find all of the hallmarks of a connected community at its great parks and trails.
What does a healthy lifestyle look like? For some it’s training for a 5K, playing a game of soccer, or swimming laps to cool off. For others, it’s a casual walk with friends or a quiet moment surrounded by nature. And at Alamar, each of these special experiences is waiting right outside your doorstep. Set amid the Tres Rios Base Meridian and Wildlife Area, at the foothills of the Sierra Estrella Mountains, Alamar was designed with outdoor living in mind—and it all comes together under the welcoming Arizona sun with acres of parks, trails, and community activities set out in the great outdoors.
The West Valley enjoys an annual 300 days of sunshine on average, and Alamar makes every day the perfect day to take advantage of those bright skies and clear nights with year-round activities in its numerous parks. There are more than 30 of them in all, from dozens of half-acre Neighborhood Parks to a 41.5-acre Regional Park developed in partnerships with the City of Avondale. Each of the Neighborhood Parks is a unique landmark and reference point for residents to readily identify their ‘hood. Young families meet around lively playgrounds, while other residents enjoy picnics and quiet time at outdoor dining tables and under shaded ramadas. And it’s all within steps of your backyard, an outdoor extension of your front patio or porch.
There are more recreational activities for every interest at Alamar’s three larger Community Parks, where there’s swimming in the private pool, as well as barbecues grills for family grilling and fields for soccer, baseball, and more. Connecting the residents of Alamar to the City of Avondale, and bringing additional outdoor activities right to the community, is a Regional Park with acres of playing fields, a landscaped lake, and wide-open space for children to run free. With so much accessible green public space, the opportunities for enjoying the great outdoors are limitless.
Connecting all of Alamar’s parks are 9.5 miles of scenic trails offering safe paved pathways for walking, biking, and jogging—all with sweeping views of the Sierra Estrella Mountains and desert. This trail system is the thread that connects all of Alamar’s tree-lined neighborhoods and parks. It also links to Avondale’s regional trails and scenic corridors along the Agua Fria and Gila Rivers, uniting every home to the wide-open landscapes of the West Valley. No matter the time of day, it’s easy to step outside your door for a walk surrounded by nature, following the trails to nearby parks to meet up with family and friends or the secluded West Valley desert to commune with nature.
Of course, there’s much more to Alamar’s great outdoors than exercise and sports. Keeping residents happy and healthy is a series of opportunities to mix and mingle with their neighbors throughout the year. The Regional Park hosts regular live events, concerts, and seasonal festivals, while Neighborhood Parks bring people together with more activities for all ages.
You’ve probably never imagined a community like Alamar, where parks, playgrounds, and outdoor adventures are mere steps away, right outside your door, helping you reconnect with nature and the West Valley’s boundless beauty. Here, you can take in the desert air, unwind and disconnect from the outside world, and find fun and fitness, relaxation and recreation in every single day.
