Alamar Celebrates Opening of New Private Resident Pool Facility
Alamar celebrated the grand opening of Hay Moon Pool, the masterplan’s new private pool facility, in April with an outdoor Neighborhood Patio Party for residents. Nearly 30 residents attended the festive poolside event, marking the first of many resident gatherings for Alamar, along with event programming, clubs and signature events.
Avondale Police Chief Dale Nannega and his team of officers joined the celebration, featuring CDC-recommended social distancing guidelines, snacks and refreshments, and an opportunity for the new residents to name the group of 50-100 residents who make up the very first families to move into the new Avondale community.
“Last night’s first new welcome gathering was a complete homerun,” Alamar Community Life Executive Director Kathryn Prusinski said. “We had so many families join us, far surpassing what we expected or hoped for at this early stage. Avondale Police Department rolled out the red carpet showing a united partnership with Alamar as it relates to public safety, and the residents loved this.”
Residents can now enter the new pool amenity with their own access cards during pool hours, posted on the facility’s security gates. Haymoon Pool is just the latest of numerous outdoor amenities that will be introduced as more residents move in. Since opening just six months ago in October 2020, more than 200 families have purchased homes at Alamar, and just over 20 families have officially moved in, now calling Alamar their home.
Alamar and the City of Avondale also recently celebrated the groundbreaking of Alamar Park, which will feature 40 acres of mixed-use space. When completed in Spring of 2022, Alamar Park will include baseball/softball and multi-use fields, tennis and pickleball courts, playgrounds, lake, splash pad, amphitheater, dog park and picnic ramadas for everyone to enjoy.
Alamar is the largest masterplan to open in the Valley since 2013 and will feature a total 3,695 homes once all phases are complete, with the first phase of development featuring 461 homesites developed within 6 unique neighborhoods.
